Diocese of Brooklyn Chrism Mass

Tuesday, April 15, 2025

Special moments in a Catholic’s life are marked by anointing. Sacred oils used during Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Orders, and Anointing of the Sick are blessed during the Chrism Mass. The sacred oil symbolizes Jesus’ grace and our union with Him. Aside from the blessings of these sacred oils, priests within the diocese renew his priestly promise.
