Under Thy Protection
In honor of the Feast of Mt. Carmel, we pray this prayer in remembrance of the Virgin Mary’s promise of protection to St. Simon Stock and the Carmelites. This protection is available to us all when we seek God, and is made even more abundantly clear with the devotion of the Brown Scapular.
We fly to thy protection,
O Holy Mother of God;
Do not despise our petitions
in our necessities,
but deliver us always
from all dangers,
O Glorious and Blessed Virgin.
Amen.
